Christmas Wishes

Dear readers, I am truly grateful that you are here with me and that you visit my pages. Whether during ordinary days filled with trips, hikes, and long walks in nature, or here on the blog and on Instagram, where I share my feelings and moments from the road and the outdoors. The same goes for this Advent season, when you have been reading my Christmas-themed articles about Saint Martin, old Advent traditions, the history of Christmas, and other beautiful customs.

I sincerely appreciate your loyalty, kindness, and trust. I am very thankful that we have made it to these days together, and I believe that our little community will continue to grow. Every new follower on Instagram brings me joy, and it warms my heart even more when someone leaves a message or a small heart on my work. These little things are exactly what give meaning to what I do.

And why am I writing this message to you?

Because I want to wish you all, from the bottom of my heart, a Merry and Happy Christmas.

I wish you a beautiful and fragrant Christmas Eve, one where homes are filled with the scent of incense, Christmas carols play softly in living rooms, and familiar lines from traditional Christmas movies and fairy tales echo from television screens. A day filled with the laughter and joy of children, eagerly awaiting Christmas dinner, knowing deep in their hearts that the magical moment is near, when the bell rings and they can unwrap their gifts with sparkling eyes and pure happiness.

It is the most beautiful time of the year. A time of sincere and genuine joy, not only for children, but for us adults as well. Joy in being able to meet our loved ones, especially when we often don’t find the time to do so during the year.

Let us also remember those who can no longer be with us. Light a candle for them on the Advent wreath as a quiet remembrance and a sign that they are still in our thoughts. Let us call our loved ones who cannot be with us on this day, whether because of work, distance, another continent, or simply because they have families of their own.

Let us hope to wake up to a white, snowy landscape and that the snow stays with us even until the New Year, as it is an inseparable part of Christmas. Enjoy the festive days and cherish even the smallest gifts, whether it is a porcelain angel, a pair of socks, or a small token that warms the heart. Because Christmas is not about things, but about people, love, and togetherness.

And perhaps some of us will even go for a Christmas hike before Christmas Eve dinner… or at least to the midnight mass.

So I wish you all a beautiful Christmas.

Let us care for one another, be kind, and never forget those who are close to our hearts.
