Christmas is coming, let's write our own story!

Autumn is slowly waving goodbye, the days are getting shorter, and the light is fading. Fog is rolling in, and the sun hides more often than before. But right now is the time when we start looking for light elsewhere. Within ourselves, in cities glowing with fairy lights, at markets smelling of punch, and in those moments of anticipation for the first snow. Christmas is coming... and this year, I want us to write its story together.

I know that many of us don't have time for long treks or mountain hikes right now, but that doesn't mean "tourism" ends. It just changes. Instead of mountain ridges, we can now discover Christmas-decorated towns, advent markets, glowing streets, shopping centers, or perhaps the most beautiful Christmas trees in the area—ideally during their lighting ceremonies on the first advent weekend. So it occurred to me that we could write our shared Christmas story this year. Just take a photo of anything that belongs to Christmas—a lit house, markets, ornaments, a winter landscape, or even just a mug of cocoa by the window—and add the hashtag #vanocesbobisem.

By doing this, we will create our own "book" of Christmas photos and videos on Instagram. Every photo or video that catches my eye and is tagged with #vanocesbobisem will appear in my Stories, and I’ll save the best ones to my Highlights. When you then open the hashtag on Instagram, it will create a mosaic of our Christmas experiences. Every image, every little light, every moment will be part of our shared story. So don't be afraid to take out your cameras or mobile phones—whether you are young or old, children or adults, that Christmas spirit is still in all of us. Share your photos and videos, add the hashtag, so we can all tune in to the true Christmas atmosphere and make the wait for Christmas feel a bit shorter. Just a small note: to make sure your posts are visible to others, don't forget to have your photos or videos set to "public."

So go ahead and share your Christmas moments—I’m looking forward to our shared story!

We don't need perfect photos or a professional blog. It's enough to stop for a moment, take a breath, and capture a piece of the magic around us. So let’s write the story together this year, with a smile, with light, with the scent of gingerbread, and a warm heart.

Christmas is coming. And this time with #vanocesbobisem.

To get our Christmas story started, I’m posting my first contribution with this hashtag. I'll also include a link to this challenge on my blog so everyone knows where to start. So don't be shy—take photos, film, and share; together we will create a beautiful mosaic of Christmas moments!

PS: Anyone on Instagram can support us by sharing our challenge—the more of us there are, the more beautiful and colorful our shared Christmas story will be!
